Teaching

In parallel with my research activities, I am involved in various teaching activities for undergraduate students.

  • Phylogenetics practicals for 1st-year Life Sciences students
Introductory practicals in evolutionary biology, where we discover what is a phylogenetic tree, how to read, interpret, and construct them, and how to reconstruct evolutionary histories based on phenotypes.
  • Biogeography and Population Dynamics for 3rd-year students
Complete course including lectures and practicals introducing principles of population studies, modeling approaches, and biogeography concepts, illustrating biodiversity patterns across time and space.
I have placed particular importance on creating educational tools that enable students to become active participants in their own learning and engage their critical thinking skills in the development of explanatory theories.
  • Data analysis tutorials for 3rd-year students
Based on differing datasets, we discover linear and generalized linear models, as well as multivariate analysis methods applied to real samplings. We focused on approaching datasets by constructing hypothesis and workframe to identify the optimal modelling strategy.
